The Sheep Rock Ranch is located in the North Platte River Valley of southern Wyoming. The Platte River, noted for its excellent fishing, comes out of Colorado, running north into Wyoming. The Sierra Madre Mountains and Continental Divide are to the west and the Snowy Range Mountains to the east of the river. Saratoga is an hour and half from Laramie, home to the University of Wyoming, and about three hours from Denver, Colorado.
