Wednesday, January 6th, 5:30 pm - Feast of the Epiphany
At our Epiphany party we will enjoy a simple dinner provided by Christ Church complete with a Three King’s Cake. During dinner we will have the opportunity to share stories of our Advent Outreach Offering in December. We gather to reflect on the joy of these past days before moving into ordinary time. Our 12th Night of Christmas will conclude with an Epiphany Compline service. Please join us, invite a friend.
2010 Annual Meeting and “Hearings”
Building Reflections – Sunday, February 6th at 11:30 am
As in years past, we will be moving some of our business off the annual meeting and onto pre-meeting hearings. Are you interested in our recent bylaws revision work? Are you looking for more in depth answers to how Christ Church focuses the money entrusted to it to support its mission? Are you wondering about how you can be a part of the exciting work of the Heart Mountain Volunteer Medical Clinic as it expands to Cody? The pre-annual meeting hearings are a great way to dive in and learn more about a specific area of interest. The actual annual meeting will occur during/after a soup and bread lunch hosted by the vestry following the 10:00 service. The meeting opens with annual business: the 2010 budget – both operating and mission endowment, the election new members to the vestry and delegates to Diocesan Convention, the adoption of new bylaws. The heart of the meeting is the sharing of the work we have done over the past year with Plan One Architects on a master planning process for the future of our building. We will have a presentation on where we have come to this point followed by an invitation for everyone to engage in our wonderings about our next step. All will be asked to take a week to pray and we will gather again (briefly) the following Sunday for people to offer their thoughts and reflections on moving forward with work on our building to make it a more effectively support our mission.
We hope to see you at the hearings and the Annual Meeting. Childcare will be provided for the Annual Meeting.
