In the early 1900's the Stagecoach was known as the Welty Inn after one of the early settlers of Dubois. Many people spent the night here after getting off the stagecoach that eventually made its way to Yellowstone. The rooms down the hallway of the main office building still have the numbers on the doors and at that time were the motel rooms. The Inn also had cabins along Horse Creek and in those days, guests heated their cabins with wood stoves and shared a community bath house.
Our newest units now replace those cabins along the creek and today, the Stagecoach Motel is Dubois' largest and finest lodging facility. Units offer electric heat, bathrooms with tubs and showers, direct dial telephones and cable television. Quite a change from the old days.
The Stagecoach is a well established property and a cost effective place to make your headquarters for both vacations to the area and Yellowstone/Teton National Parks. Under the same ownership for the past 27 years, we pride ourselves on providing the service and value that travelers expect.
