$1.2 Million Settlement in Fatal I-80 Heavy Equipment Accident I-80 Interstate 80, Wyoming | November 19, 2010 The Spence Law Firm has settled a case against employees of Three Sons, LLC, and Reiman Corp., construction companies that were performing a highway construction project when employee Ashley Woodcock was killed by dangerous industrial heavy equipment. We represented Ashley's mother. Ashley, the 21 year-old victim, was working on a highway construction project on Interstate-80 in Wyoming when she was backed over and killed by the company's grader. The dangerous equipment was defective.

In 2008, Wyoming had 33 workplace fatalities and, on a per capita basis, the highest workplace fatality rate in the country. In 2009, the number of workplace fatalities dropped to 19, the lowest number since 1992 when the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries began keeping records.
